
Spurrier Hall is the home of a gymnasium, the Program of Dance and Movement’s dance studio theater, music practice rooms, the practice carillon, student organization offices and storage, the music rehearsal room, and meeting rooms. Spurrier is connected to Susan B. Anthony Hall by the tunnel system, which is the only accessible entrance with an elevator. Accessible Approach/Entrance
- There is an entrance to the building right in front of the studio theater that has no stairs, but the hill is too steep to be rated properly for wheelchairs. The outdoor ramp does have a railing.
- Route of travel at least 36” wide
- Objects can be detected by person with visual disability using a cane

- Closest accessible parking is in the Library lot
- Parking is circled in black on the included map, but this event is taking place over Meliora weekend so please allow ample time for parking as the campus will be crowded.

- Up the stairs and enter via the front doors on Gregory St.
Rooms and Spaces
- Aisles and pathways to materials and services at least 36” wide
- 18” clearance when using the double door
- 5’ circle or T-shaped space for turning a wheelchair completely
- Obstacles are cane-detectable in circulation paths through public areas
Seats, Tables, and Counters
- No fixed seating.
- All seating is on risers – ground seating is accessible in front row or rows.
- Companion seating available.
- Water fountain spout not higher than 36” and can be operated independently with a closed fist clear – clear knee space.
Elevator
- If elevator is needed, persons should contact the manager for entry into the Susan B. Anthony dorm in order to use the elevator to get to the tunnel system that takes you to the correct floor for the studio.

- Doorway to restroom is at least 32” clear
