Chasing Thunder is a Fairport, NY-based band founded in September 2019 by Robert Kolb (lead singer, songwriter, guitar, harmonica) and featuring Suzanne Roscoe (lead/harmony singer), Matt Sulyma (lead guitar), Bob Ligenza (drums), Scott Seyfried (lead guitar, vocals), and Marc McCrossen (bass, vocals, 12-string guitar). Dancing Out of The Dust

Artistic Director Erika Ruegemer and the Creative Team of Elyssia Primus and Amanda Turk demonstrate our continuous need for connection. A group of dancers will plant themselves two-by-two in the East Avenue and Scio Street area. When you come across the artists, follow them! They will gather in unison at their final destination adjacent to Ong Siraphisut’s public art piece “Breathe,” located on the outside wall of Rochester Contemporary Art Center.

Moby Dick Bemshi!

"Moby Dick Bemshi!" combines story, libretto, and song with the 1926 film, "Moby Dick," to tell the tale of Herman Melville’s creation of his saga. It's an imagining of how it happened: fleeing one country for another, falling in love with an Irish revolutionary, and – finally – wresting with an angel who challenges him to express humanity’s fate by writing a masterpiece. The Velvet Noose

Shadow work and dramaturgical studies come together in an immersive, experiential performance of live-action, Tarot card enactments. Audience members receive limited-edition, hand-inked cards on arrival. As screams from darkness announce drawn cards, the inanimate animates, initiating transfixing improvisations and sequenced theatrics. Gongs create the evolving score, informed by mindful, sound-bath resonance healing. "The Velvet Noose" builds upon last year’s sold-out performance in direct narrative continuation with two ambitious performances.
