  • Accessible spaces are available in the East End Garage (downtown Rochester)
    • Swan Street entrance offers seven (7) accessible spaces
      • Closest to accessible entrance on route from Barrett Place to Gibbs Street
      • Drop off with accessible path for paratransit users – enter Swan Street from East Avenue or from Main Street
      • Spaces are 8’ wide with 5’ wide access aisles - two spaces have an 8’ wide access aisle
      • Access aisles for van accessible spaces marked with hash marks
      • Automatic door and ramp on the south side of garage to exit onto Swan Street – ramp length 110”/height 4”
    • Main Street entrance
      • A minimum of fifteen (15) accessible spaces on three (3) levels – spaces are closest to exit (level 1) and elevator (levels 2 and 3)
        • Level 1 – (5) spaces near entrance – access aisles for van accessible spaces marked with hash marks
      • Closest to accessible entrance on route from Main Street to Gibbs Street
      • Drop off with accessible path for paratransit users – enter Swan Street from Main Street
      • Curb cuts at Main/Swan Street corners and Main/Gibbs Street corners
  • Accessible spaces marked with International Symbol of Accessibility

Rooms and Spaces

  • Aisles and pathways are flexible; need to walk among crowded area
  • At least 5’ space for turning a wheelchair completely, when needed
  • Obstacles are cane-detectable in circulation paths through public areas

  • Food truck counters higher than 36” since they operate out of the vehicle
