Accessible Approach/Entrance

  • Accessible entrance on Prince Street
  • Drop-off driveway in front of accessible entrance
  • Route of travel is slip resistant and at least 36” wide
  • Objects can be detected by person with visual disability using a cane
  • Curbs have curb cuts at drives, parking, and drop off

Parking and Drop-Off Areas

  • Street parking on Prince Street and East Avenue
  • Parking is available in the lot directly across the theatre on Prince Street
    • Three (3) accessible parking spaces available with 8’ wide access aisle and 98” of vertical clearance
    • Accessible space marked with “Reserved – Accessible Parking” signs
  • Minimal clearance for van in lot – use circular drive to drop off


  • Main entrance is accessible (Prince Street)
  • No ramps but slow incline – no railings
  • Lift given as alternative to main entrance stairs; goes up to Main Hall level and down to accessible restrooms
  • Entrance door has at least 32” of clear opening with at least 18” of clear wall on the pull side of door, next to handle
  • Threshold edge is accessible
  • Door handle no higher than 48” and operable with closed fist

Rooms and Spaces

  • Door to Chamber Hall only 27” wide from Main Hall
  • Aisles and pathways to materials and services at least 36” wide
  • 5’ space for turning a wheelchair completely
  • Obstacles are cane-detectable in circulation paths through public areas

Seats, Tables, and Counters

Main Stage:

  • Aisles between fixed seating at least 36” wide
  • 6 wheelchair seating spaces located in front

Cabaret Hall:

  • No fixed seating – seats can be rearranged

Vertical Circulation

• Lift goes up to Main Hall level and down to accessible restrooms


  • Accessible restrooms with pictograms used to identify restrooms
  • Doorway to restroom is left open
  • Adequate maneuvering space for a person using a wheelchair (approximately 6.5 ft.)
  • 36” wide path to all fixtures
  • Accessible stall with grab bars behind and on the side of wall nearest to the toilet
  • Stall door handle not operable with closed fist
  • Faucet operable with closed fist
